Avery F. Byrd, Sr.,Chairman & CEO, is a seasoned capital markets professional and a proven manager with a successful track record as an entrepreneur and a corporate executive. As an investment professional, Mr. Byrd has 15-plus years of institutional sales and trading experience with an extensive portfolio of regional, national and global institutional investors. These investors participate actively in both the debt and equity markets. While at The Williams Capital Group, Mr. Byrd utilized his vast network to gain several underwriting mandates for the firm. From inception, Mr. Byrd was one of the firm’s largest producers. He was consistently the number one sales/trader at the firm in the following areas: corporate bond syndicate, government agencies (Debentures & CMO) and asset backed new issuance.

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Byrd also founded and developed a regional facilities maintenance firm, Bradford & Byrd Associates, which maintains several commercial properties within a regional footprint that spans from CT, NY, and NJ in the north to NC, SC, and GA in the south, and westward to PA, MD, and VA.

Mr. Byrd is a member of 100 Black Men Inc. in New York. He is a supporter of the New York / New Jersey Minority Purchasing Council and the Georgia Minority Supplier Diversity Council. Mr. Byrd also serves as a board member for The Promise Outreach Organization, a New Jersey-based Catholic not-for-profit enterprise. Mr. Byrd holds a B.A. in Finance from Morehouse College and is Series 7, 24 and 63 licensed.

Wendell Bristol, Vice President/Partner, Marketing & Administration, brings extensive financial experience to the firm having worked in regulatory, buy-side and investment banking capacities over the last 15 years. This experience included debt and equity offering analysis at Goldman Sachs & Co., the performance of credit research and the development of trading strategies for emerging markets at Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association. In addition, at the NYSE, he was an examiner. Mr. Bristol is a graduate of Morehouse College and has an MBA from New York University, with a concentration in Finance/International Business. Mr. Bristol has his Series 7 and 63 licenses.

William J. Carney, Vice President, Investment Banking, is responsible for the origination of investment grade debt and equity securities for TCP’s clients. Formerly Mr. Carney spent 11 years with JPMorgan Securities Inc., and its predecessor organizations, in Syndicated and Leveraged Finance originating, structuring and distributing debt transactions for numerous Fortune 500 companies, primarily in the health care, retail and consumer products spaces. Mr. Carney was an integral team member in providing fully integrated financing solutions for these clients in order to complete a variety of different types of transactions, including refinancing, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, share repurchases and recapitalizations. Mr. Carney attended The University of Notre Dame earning a B.B.A. in Marketing and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

John DelGiudice, Associate, Investment Banking, is responsible for the origination of investment grade debt and equity securities for Toussaint’s clients. Formerly, Mr. DelGiudice spent two years at Merrill Lynch within Institutional Sales where he covered the firm’s largest hedge fund clients, focusing on coverage strategy, resource efficiency and new product introductions. His team produced widely-used revenue analysis and projections using internal databases and models, and engaged in regular dialogue with senior management. In addition, Mr. DelGiudice was an integral member of Merrill’s hedge fund client strategy team, with a mission to expand the client universe and broaden relationships with existing clients. Prior to that he held internship positions with JPMorgan and Merrill Lynch. Mr. DelGiudice attended Wesleyan University, earning a B.A. in Economics, and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
